Now Accepting Rolling 2024-2025 Audition Applications
Philadelphia Youth Symphonic Band auditions are open to student woodwind, brass, percussion, piano, harp, and double bass players. The Philadelphia Youth Symphonic Band (PYSB) accepts students ages 13 through 18.
PYSB rehearsals take place on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., mid-September through early-June, at Saint Patrick Hall (240 South 20th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103).
Audition Requirements
Performers will be asked to play 1) required scales, 2) their own selection from the solo repertoire, and 3) required excerpts. Please see below for specific requirements for each instrument.

Annual PYSB tuition for the 2024-2025 season is $1,795. A non-refundable deposit of $550 is due at the time an accepted student registers for the PYO Music Institute. Tuition balance is due by the first rehearsal of the concert season.
