The PYO Music Institute Summer Beginner String Camp offers an introductory musical experience for current 3rd and 4th grade students who are about to embark on their musical journey.
Enrollment Requirements: Students must be in either 3rd or 4th grade (for the 2024-2025 school year), no prior instrumental music training is required.
Activities include instrument introduction lessons for violin, viola, cello, and bass. These lessons are designed to set students up to be successful musicians in their school’s music programs. The lessons include instrument setup, sound production, music literacy, and basic performance skills. In addition to instrument instruction, students engage in music-related activities and events through the day, plus, there’s time for socializing over lunch and snack breaks daily.
Monday, July 28 – Friday, August 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Parish House, Church of the Redeemer, Bryn Mawr, PA
Tuition Rates
Until December 31, 2024: $675 per week
After December 31, 2024: $725 per week
Financial Aid is available for students who demonstrate financial need. Applications are available upon request.
