The PYO Music Institute Summer String Session offers an enriching musical experience for beginning through advanced-level students.

Minimum Requirements: Students should be enrolled in private lessons and be able to perform any one-octave scale along with one piece from Suzuki Book 1.

Activities include engaging string ensemble rehearsals, instrument-specific scale and technique classes, a weekly group concert featuring all campers, daily solo performance opportunities (open to all campers), violin to viola classes, audition preparation seminars, sight reading challenges, musical arts and crafts, and more. Plus, there’s time for socializing over lunch and snack breaks daily. 

Students can participate in either week one or week two separately, or both weeks.

Week A: Monday, August 5 – Friday, August 9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Week B: Monday, August 12 – Friday, August 16, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Location:  Parish House, Church of the Redeemer, Bryn Mawr, PA

Tuition Rates: $675 per week; $1,300 for two weeks
