The PYO Music Institute Summer Beginner String Camp is the perfect introduction to the violin, viola, or cello for elementary students ready to embark on their musical journey.

Who Can Enroll:
Open to students entering 1st through 5th grade.  No prior musical experience required!

Students will enjoy daily hands-on instruction designed to build a strong foundation for success in their school music programs. Activities include:

• Instrument lessons on violin, viola, or cello
• Learning proper instrument setup and basic sound production
• An introduction to reading music and developing fundamental performance skills

In addition to instrument instruction, students will participate in fun, music-themed activities, fostering creativity, teamwork, and a love of music. Each day also includes snack and lunch breaks, along with plenty of time for socializing and making new friends.

This camp is a fantastic way to spark enthusiasm for music while preparing students to confidently join their school orchestra or private lessons in the fall!

Dates: Monday, July 28 – Friday, August 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Location:  Parish House, Church of the Redeemer, Bryn Mawr, PA

Tuition Rate: $725 per week

Financial Aid is available for students who demonstrate financial need. Applications are available upon request.
