The PYO Music Institute Summer Band Camp is a week-long summer day camp for developing wind, brass, and percussion students.
Minimum Requirements: Our youngest wind and brass musicians should have at least one school year of experience and be able to read and play in Concert B flat major (one-octave major scale). Percussionists should have at least one school year of experience on drum and mallet percussion and be able to read and play in Concert B flat major (one-octave major scale).
Concert B flat Major:
Flute, oboe, bassoon, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba, xylophone – B flat major
Clarinet, Trumpet, Tenor saxophone – C major
Alto and Bari saxophone – G major
Horn – F major
Activities include large ensemble rehearsals, end-of-week ensemble performances, instrument-specific classes, music reading activities, solo performance opportunities, audition preparation, and more!
Dates: Monday, July 28 – Friday, August 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: The Shipley School, Bryn Mawr, PA
Tuition Rate: $725 per week
Recommended for student musicians ages 10-16.
**This opportunity is also open to students and families who are not enrolled in a PYOMI program division.**
