The PYO Music Institute (PYO), under the direction of Maestro Louis Scaglione, will perform its second concert of the season in Verizon Hall of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, February 25th, at 3 p.m., 300 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia. The orchestra, consisting of student musicians between the ages of 14 -21, will perform three substantial works from the professional symphonic repertoire: Brahms’ Third Symphony, Stravinsky’s Petrushka and Ravel’s La Valse.
An important aspect of their training, PYO performs three concerts each year in Verizon Hall. Maestro Scaglione takes great pride in the students’ accomplishments each year and said, “Our students work hard to present their finest performance in these concerts in Verizon Hall and always demonstrate their commitment to the music. It is very rewarding for me to observe them through the year and witness the growth that takes place.”
Tickets are $20-$30. For more information and available at Ticket Philadelphia: 215.893.1999 (215) 545-0502.
