Dr. Anthony Jones

Dr. Anthony J. Jones is a seasoned musician and educator with over 35 years of experience specializing in cello and double bass.  As a private studio teacher, he has trained students for success as professional musicians, educators, and skilled amateurs, preparing them for auditions in regional and state orchestras as well as youth ensembles in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  A former Professor of Contrabass Studies at Immaculata University, Dr. Jones is also an accomplished performer, having played with ensembles such as the Lansdowne Symphony, Bryn Athyn Orchestra, and SJQ Jazz Quintet. He has conducted youth orchestras in South Jersey and served as Orchestra Director and Music Technology Specialist at Moorestown High School.  A graduate of Combs College of Music and Villanova University, Dr. Jones continues to inspire the next generation of musicians through teaching, performing, and clinics as a low-strings specialist.
