
Chiarra Ferrero

Chiara Ferrero is a Philadelphia-based violinist and arts administrator. Cultivating a successful career as an advocate for young artists, she was recently appointed Program Manager for the PMAYArtists’ Initiative. Chiara previously held the title of Artist Manager for the Delaware-based Master Players Concert Series where she worked alongside some of today’s leading musicians. She also served as Branch Coordinator for Settlement Music School’s Wynnefield Branch, working closely with faculty members, families and staff.
Originally from Italy, she grew up learning the violin with the Suzuki method at the Italian Suzuki Institute in Torino studying with Lee Roberts and Antonio Mosca, founders of the Italian Suzuki School. Starting at the age of 7 years old, she had many opportunities to play across Italy in some of the most renowned concert halls with the Suzuki Orchestra, the youngest chamber orchestra in Europe.
Chiara is a certified Suzuki teacher. She currently is on faculty at Settlement Music School teaching violin lessons and group classes for the Tapestry Suzuki program. Her students have gone on and become members of city youth orchestras and been featured as soloists with their school orchestras.
Also an accomplished violinist, Chiara freelances with orchestras across Pennsylvania. She has performed with orchestras and ensembles on the West Coast such as the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and the Arizona Baroque Ensemble. Chiara earned a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Delaware studying with Xiang Gao and a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Arizona with Timothy Kantor.
During her free time, Chiara loves to hike, spend time outdoors and cook delicious food to share with her family and friends.
