Young Musicians Debut Orchestra auditions are open student string, woodwind, brass, and percussion players.

The Young Musicians Debut Orchestra (YMDO) accepts students ages 11 through 17.

Audition Requirements

Performers will be asked to play 1) required scales, 2) their own selection from the solo repertoire, and 3) required orchestral excerpts. Please see below for specific requirements for each instrument.

Annual YMDO tuition for the 2022-2023 season is $1,645. A non-refundable deposit of $550 is due at the time an accepted student registers for the PYO Music Institute. Tuition balance is due by the first rehearsal of the concert season.
