How long have you been a member of the PYO Music Institute and in which ensembles did you participate?

I have been a part of PYOMI for 4 years. I participated PYMO (now YMDO) for one year, PYAO for two years, and this year was my first year as part of PYO.

What is one of your favorite PYO memory?

The recent PYOMI gala was one of my favorite memories with the institute so far! Though I have only been working with Maestro Scaglione for less than a year, it was very cool to learn about his involvement with PYOMI and young musicians over the past 25 years. By the end of the night, the crowds of PYO supporters and fellow musicians left me feeling even more sure than before that I was part of a very special community.

What role might music play during your college years?

I intend to continue playing the violin during college, most likely with a chamber group or possibly Penn’s Symphony Orchestra.

What are your most recent musical and/or academic achievements?

I intend to continue playing the violin during college, most likely with a chamber group or possibly Penn’s Symphony Orchestra.

What are some of your favorite pieces of music that you have performed with PYO?

Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4

When you are not in rehearsal or practicing your instrument, what other activities or hobbies do you enjoy?

Playing tennis, spending time with friends, and cooking.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? What do you see yourself doing?

Hopefully, in a decade from now, I will be a successful marketer for a company that is doing something creative and unique to change its field. Or maybe I will be launching my own startup! I also hope to travel to many places across the world in the next ten years.
