Are you a member of the School District of Philadelphia’s All-City Orchestra or Band?

PYO Music Institute’s All-City Fellowship is your chance to take your musicianship to the next level, tuition-free. For the 2025–2026 season, PYOMI is offering qualified All-City students the opportunity to join select PYOMI center city program divisions:

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO) – our flagship orchestra performing professional-level symphonic repertoire
Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra (PYAO) – a full symphonic orchestra for intermediate-to-advanced students
Young Musicians Debut Orchestra (YMDO) – an entry-level full symphonic orchestra that builds strong foundations in ensemble playing
Bravo Brass – the city’s only year-round all-brass ensemble
Philadelphia Youth Symphonic Band (PYSB) – a full wind symphonic band experience
Philadelphia Youth Jazz Orchestra (PYJO) – our swinging big band that explores America’s original art form

If you’re passionate about music and eager to grow as a performer, this fellowship was designed with you in mind.

How It Works

The process is simple:

Audition for PYO, PYAO, YMDO, Bravo Brass, PYSB, and/or PYJO.
Stay enrolled in the School District of Philadelphia’s All-City Program.
Commit to rehearsals, concerts, and festival performances throughout the season.

If you’re accepted, your tuition is waived, and you’ll join a community of passionate young musicians making music together.
