If you’re not majoring in music, what role might music play during your college years?

Chloe: Boston University offers an all-campus orchestra, which I plan on joining.

How long have you been a member of the PYO Music Institute and in which ensembles did you participate?

Megan: 5 years – PRYSM (now PRYSM Strings) (1 year), PYMO (now YDMO) (1 year), PYAO (1 year), and PYO (2 years)
Chloe: 3 years, YMDO (1) and PYAO (2)

Do you have any plans or activities planned for the summer?

Megan: Interning at Hullson Partners, a Philadelphia-based private equity firm, working part-time at a restaurant, and traveling to Turkey, Peru, and Virginia.
Chloe: Vacation to Florida and beach trips with friends

What is one of your favorite PYOMI memories?

Megan: Every showcase concert at Verizon, from seeing the little kids in PRYSM YA to playing as a member of PYO now.
Chloe: Hanging out with my friends before concerts

What are your most recent musical and/or academic achievements?

Megan: National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) National Honorable Mention Award, Technology Students Association (TSA) Data Science and Analytics 3rd Place Nationals, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Microeconomics 1st Place States
Chloe: Getting into college and making the PMEA Region 6 Orchestra

What are some of your favorite pieces of music that you have performed with PYOMI?

Chloe: Dvorak’s Eighth Symphony and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet

When you are not in rehearsal or practicing your instrument, what other activities or hobbies do you enjoy?

Megan: Playing tennis, running, cooking/baking new dishes, traveling, thrifting, and binging early 2000s movies.
